Pupils share ideas for future-friendly streets

18.02.22

As part of Portsmouth’s Aspirations Week, year 5 and 6 pupils from Highbury Primary School looked at how we design and plan towns and cities. They considered everything from the natural environment and spaces to play, to transport, shopping and places to work. They also found out more about the many and varied job roles involved in planning, designing and constructing new neighbourhoods.

They shared their future-friendly street designs full of green spaces, places to play and sit together, bus and bike lanes, solar panels, wind turbines, beehives and places for pets.
